Spicy Italian Sausage Rigatoni with Creamy Parmesan Sauce

Italian sausage

petite diced tomatoes, undrained

tomato sauce

red pepper flakes

rigatoni

heavy cream
1/2
cup
parmesan cheese, shredded
Instructions
Heat olive oil in large skillet.
Saute onion until soft.
Add in Italian Sausage. Break apart with wooden spoon. Cook until no longer pink.
Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Drain grease and return meat to pan.
Add in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and basil.
Let simmer for about 15 minutes or until sauce has thickened.
In the meantime, cook pasta, drain and transfer into a dish.
Add heavy cream and parmesan to meat mixture and let simmer for 5 minutes.
Pour cream sauce over pasta and stir to coat.
Serve with a side of garlic bread and a salad.
